Claire's Backstory
In August of 2020, my Mom's best friend's son found an abandoned kitten.
He bottle fed the youngling but wasn't able to keep her as a pet because he wasn't sure how his kid would react to having a cat in the house. So, Mom asked me if I was ready to adopt another kitty.
I hated the idea of this singleton kitten ending up in a shelter, so I agreed to take her in.
On October 10th, 2020, we welcomed Claire Kittenfield into our lives. I like to think my angel Arthas brought Claire to me because she is a riot!
Bear has a huge personality in a tiny body and is always making me laugh. She is reactive and playful; her favourite thing to do is to "hunt" her toys and leave her "kills" throughout the apartment for us to find. She also loves hand held lasers and this motorized circle toy that spins around in a circle with a feather attached to it.
In 2025 after our wedding, Claire made the move with us to our new apartment in the city where J is employed. She's adjusted nicely to the singleton life, becoming just a little clingy. In the future when we become home owners, we plan on adopting siblings for her. Until then, I enjoy all the undivided time we get with Claire! When she hears the whirr of our electric lock, she runs to the door because she knows daddy is about to step through the door. She is wary of strangers and hides from the maintenance team whenever they come by to fix something for us. She knows the difference because they do a fireman knock!
